The man who reportedly pulled a gun near a Secret Service checkpoint and opened fire yesterday was Nasire Best (21) from Maryland.
He previously attempted to breach a White House checkpoint in 2025 and was well “known to the Secret Service” for “walking around the White House complex inquiring how to gain access at various entry points”
He has also previously been involuntarily commented to a mental hospital due to his behavior around the White House grounds.
