San Bernardino County sheriff’s department released body cam footage of an officer involved gunfight at an ARCO gas station in California.
The officer was shot twice (shin & thigh) and the suspect Jorge Cardenas, 27, of Ontario, died.
The initial call was made by a clerk working at the gas station who said a man with a gun was threatening her and she had locked herself in the bathroom.
A couple notes:
-that tactical reload almost cost the officer. I don't think it was a bad call given the situation but on a two way range both parties get a vote and sometimes they do things you wouldn't expect
-not seating the mag didn't cost him but it does show why doing so is important
