The IDF has published footage reportedly from an IDF soldier showing them engaged in a CQB gunfight with members of Hamas.
A few thoughts:
-Is there any place worse than a stairwell to get into a gunfight? I don't thinks so
-People often panic and "forget" their training at CQB distances and fail to seek cover
-Even if you've been shot/fragged you can still likely return effective fire at CQB distances - stay in the fight until the fight is over or you're dead
-If you don't have the advantage of surprise and speed, engaging in CQB with a known armed opponent is a questionable decision at best
Plan accordingly....
