This is the "working rocket launcher" Tate Adamiak was sentenced to 20 years in prison for.
ATF weapons experts added a trigger it didn't have. They then, added a separate USSR training aid firearm he didn't have into the tube then fired a single 7.62x39 round through it to show it was a "working rocket launcher" which it obviously wasn't. Why did they use this rather than an actual rocket? Because there's a giant hole in the side of the tube that was put there to prevent that very thing which is why it was legally imported and sold.
By these rules - any tube could be converted into a "working rocket launcher"
When you're hanging out in Yemen and want to fire the Chinese W85 DShK clone but you don't understand how physics work or why these are meant to be fired from a bipod (at minimum) or tripod (ideally)....
