"A man was left critically injured after being struck by a car, beaten with a baseball bat and stabbed in a wild, caught-on-camera ordeal in the middle of an upstate New York street over the weekend, police said.
The chaotic chain of events unfolded in Poughkeepsie on Sunday afternoon after two speeding vehicles sparked a wrong-way crash that ended with two men brawling and another wielding a shotgun.
Investigators, who are still trying to piece together the violent scene, said the two cars had been flying down Pershing Avenue Park in the wrong direction just after 3 p.m. when they collided with two people and another vehicle.
One of the victims struck by a car was subsequently stabbed and hit with the baseball bat, police said.
The relationship among those involved in the incident wasn’t immediately known. It also wasn’t clear if the two men struck by the vehicles were targeted or if the male with the gun was involved in any way.
Two men — Rakim Paulin, 43, of Beacon and Jeremy Taylor, 40, of Poughkeepsie — were arrested and charged with assault in the wake of the horrific ordeal, police said." -NYP

Wild video here. Before getting into what happens in this video it's important to know the officer here had responded to the same address the night before regarding a potential home invasion and talked extensively to the home owner.
The next evening (in this video) the home owner called 911 because a man had broken into the home wearing a "red ski mask" and "dark colored clothing."
The officer responds, sees the homeowner (again, who he talked to the night before) struggling with the intruder who had a knife. Officer gives a command for them to drop the knife then opens fire on the home owner, killing him.
Footage has been released as part of an ongoing lawsuit by the home owner's daughter.
