President Trump has landed in western North Carolina and announced aid will be coming directly from the administration rather than through FEMA. Not sure how that will play out but time will tell. He's already made a lot of changes to the aid these people have been receiving this week which is great to see.
He also referenced the governor(s), and while I understand he wanted to be deferential, both of them have blood on their hands. They both abandoned these people and deprived them of state assets because they're communists with their voting base in Raleigh & Charlotte and were more than happy to watch the "conservatives" in the mountains struggle. As someone who was there very often for the first 6-8 weeks after the disaster I can confidently say that. It's an objective truth...
