Most of the time when people shoot themselves at a public range it's intentional. From the description here it doesn't appear that's what happened here.

"A man fatally shot himself in the head while attempting to clear a malfunctioning gun at a Fort Worth shooting range Monday night.
Police responded to the incident just before 9 p.m. at Shoot Smart, a gun range and training facility.
According to Fort Worth police, the man was on the firing line when he experienced a malfunction with the firearm. While trying to remove live ammunition, the gun discharged, striking him in the head."
