Most of the time when people shoot themselves at a public range it's intentional. From the description here it doesn't appear that's what happened here.
Unfortunate but preventable. If you're uncomfortable handling firearms ask someone knowledgeable & experienced for help. Almost all will be glad to do so...
"A man fatally shot himself in the head while attempting to clear a malfunctioning gun at a Fort Worth shooting range Monday night.
Police responded to the incident just before 9 p.m. at Shoot Smart, a gun range and training facility.
According to Fort Worth police, the man was on the firing line when he experienced a malfunction with the firearm. While trying to remove live ammunition, the gun discharged, striking him in the head."

Some people are saying this video shows the person in the driver's seat moving before the blast.
I'm not sure; I'd certainly prefer to see a higher resolution or frame rate video before saying anything definitive either way.
I'd guess that probably exists in this case on one of the many Tesla cameras. If so, hopefully that is released shortly...
