I heard the headline below on the radio earlier today so decided to look into it. It appears he hasn't been arrested for "communicating threats" or anything like that. Rather he's being charged with "Going Armed to the Terror of the Public" which is a catch all charge in NC that police typically use arrest people open carrying which is supposedly legal in North Carolina. Also important to note that EVERYONE is carrying guns in the mountains right now. You can see several people open carrying in my video earlier today.
I don't know what's true as I wasn't there but the point above is important to consider when the news is reporting on the pending case...

Some criminal(s) decided it was a good idea to open fire last night in San Jose's Westfield Valley Fair Mall.
At least 3 people have been hospitalized and the police do not have a suspect(s) in custody.

Escondido police received a call about a man with a knife jumping in front of vehicles and threatening drivers.
When they arrived the man stated he wanted police to shoot him and after her charged them his wish was granted with an impromptu ballistics test on his torso and leg.
After soaking up multiple 9mm hollow point rounds the man still refused to drop the knife. Additional officers eventually arrived and used multiple 40mm "sponge rounds" on him until he dropped the knife and was taken into custody.
Good example of pistol wounding ballistics if the central nervous system isn't hit.
