I've seen several media outlets claiming the son of "Ryan Rooth" has said he only previously had a "traffic ticket" in terms of criminal history.
So, I went to the primary source of his home state and typed his name in and checked "last name sounds like" and found this record of a man who was also born in 1966 and matched the description who's last name is one letter off who has a pretty extensive "petty" criminal record.
As I say in my videos on topics like this, "I'm quite literally a random dude on the internet" so I have no clue what is true in the age of disinformation but I think this is worth looking into.
Hopefully this post will lead the "professionals" to look into this....

A 14 year old violent felon has been arrested in NYC after he asked a 15 year old girl for her phone number and she declined to give it to him.
In response, he picked her up, slammed her on the concrete, then attempted to kill her by stomping her head.
The innocent girl is reportedly alive and in the hospital.
