It's complicated but the statement below is spot on. If police kick my door in how do I know they're police and not a cartel/gang trying to take my extensive gun and ammo stockpile. As a public figure everyone knows what I have and it's a very real possibility. If they just knocked with a warrant I could at least call the department to see if it's valid and go from there...

I think all states need to pass legislation that increases the penalty for assault when a person continues to punch/kick/hit a person who is clearly knocked out and unconscious.
